I am traveling from Kansas city misourri to Helsinki,Finland. My layover is in Paris. Will I need to pick up?
Will I need to pick up my bags in Paris and recheck them to Finland or do they go straight to Finland?

You need to check with your airline. Basically if you have a connecting flight the bags should be transferred to the next flight automatically. However that's not always the case if you have bought separate tickets or there are different rules in place. I'm sure that the customer service of the airline is able to give you the exact details
