How safe is the Kansas City Greyhound station?
I'm looking for a cheap way to travel home for spring break, and I was thinking about taking a Greyhound bus. However, there is a 2-hour layover in Kansas City, Missouri and it's somewhat late at night. I'm an 18 year old girl traveling alone, so obviously this concerns me. Does anyone know how safe this bust station is?

I hear it's at 12th and Troost which isn't a great part of town. A coworker tells me that they used to have security guards but doesn't know if they still do. Maybe you can call and ask.

Lol well. If you don't know the city, don't leave. Kansas City's violence is faar worse then a lot of people think. However, 12th and Troost is on the outside of the ghetto. More downtown than anything. It's relatively safe. I'm a white 19 year old guy and I mess around downtown all the time. You really should have no concerns with it. stay in the bus station, you'll be absolutely fine. Thanks for the idea though, I've been trying to find a place that rents cars to 18+ in Kc, didn't even think about greyhound. Good luck!

How much will a greyhound bus ticket cost to g0 from Kansas city missouri to Bed-ford virgina?
The title says it all. I want to go from Kansas city missouri to bed-ford virgina. How much will it cost if I travel by greyhound buses? And if I buy it the day I leave? And if you can tell me how to buy the ticket in advanced without a credit card, I would be grateful.

If you want to buy the ticket without a credit card, you will have to go in person to the local station to buy it...and you can ask the fare at that time. If you want to look up the fare ahead of time, you can look on their website, but you cannot buy the ticket on-line without a credit card. You can also call to get fare info.1-800-231-2222

You will want to take the bus to Roanoke, Virginia which is about 10 miles from Bedford. One way ticket for 24 hours from now is $177 and is non-refundable. If you can purchase your ticket with 7 days advanced purchase, the fare drops to $131. The trip takes between 23 and 27 hours. For $209 one-way and 2-weeks advanced purchase, you can fly to Roanoke from Kansas City for $209

I am traveling from Kansas city misourri to Helsinki,Finland. My layover is in Paris. Will I need to pick up?
Will I need to pick up my bags in Paris and recheck them to Finland or do they go straight to Finland?

You need to check with your airline. Basically if you have a connecting flight the bags should be transferred to the next flight automatically. About Is there a hotel in Kansas City that you can rent when you are under 21
Is there a hotel in Kansas City that you can rent when you are under 21?
I am travelling to Kansas City to go to Worlds of fun and see the Royals with my boyfriend, we are from New Zealand and are both 20. Looking online everywhere we seem to look you must be 21 in order to book the room (which seems ridiculous, as back home the minimum age is just 16). all the major online vendors (orbitz, expedia, travelocity, hotels.com etc.) require you to be 21 to reserve a room there. Just wondering of anyone knew anyway around this or if there is anywhere they know of that we can stay. Preferably we would like to be near worlds of fun, though this is not a huge issue. Thanks

When I was under 21 I rented out at the Red Roof Inn at Noland Road and I-70....about 20 minutes from WOF. Best Westerns may also. Those are motels though. Nicer hotels I'm not sure about. Check around around North Kansas City if you want to stay close to the park or Independence to be kinda inbetween WOF and the stadiums. There is a Holiday Inn Express right next to the stadiums you could try. I don't think you have to be 21 to rent that one. Enjoy your stay in Kansas City! Hope you like it.
