About Is there a hotel in Kansas City that you can rent when you are under 21

Is there a hotel in Kansas City that you can rent when you are under 21?
I am travelling to Kansas City to go to Worlds of fun and see the Royals with my boyfriend, we are from New Zealand and are both 20. Looking online everywhere we seem to look you must be 21 in order to book the room (which seems ridiculous, as back home the minimum age is just 16). all the major online vendors (orbitz, expedia, travelocity, hotels.com etc.) require you to be 21 to reserve a room there. Just wondering of anyone knew anyway around this or if there is anywhere they know of that we can stay. Preferably we would like to be near worlds of fun, though this is not a huge issue. Thanks

Answer 1 :
When I was under 21 I rented out at the Red Roof Inn at Noland Road and I-70....about 20 minutes from WOF. Best Westerns may also. Those are motels though. Nicer hotels I'm not sure about. Check around around North Kansas City if you want to stay close to the park or Independence to be kinda inbetween WOF and the stadiums. There is a Holiday Inn Express right next to the stadiums you could try. I don't think you have to be 21 to rent that one. Enjoy your stay in Kansas City! Hope you like it.

You just need to stay away from the south side and the east side. And I wouldn't go to far in Southwest BLVD. But other than that its mostly safe.
Answer 2 :
I really wouldn't stop in KC...I would just keep on going but get gas before you get in that area.
Answer 3 :
indepidance avenue, anywhere that looks ghetto just dont go

About How would you get from Kansas City, Missouri to Independence, Missouri in 1847

How would you get from Kansas City, Missouri to Independence, Missouri in 1847?
For a project at school, we have to write an Oregon Trail Diary and my person is living in Kansas City, Missouri and is going to Independence with her family to join a wagon train to go on the Oregon Trail. I know Kansas City is close to Independence but how would she travel there with her family in 1847?

Answer 1 :
By foot pushing a handcart horse and cart horseback Don't forget they may have had farm animals with them plus all their possessions, they would probably have bought sacks of food supplies in Independence.
Answer 2 :
Answer: On a Conestoga wagon.
Answer 3 :
Thomas' answer makes sense. She would very likely make the Oregon Trail trip in a Conestoga - most people did. However, planning a trip like this required a great deal of effort. It is open whether she would buy the wagon and oxen and load it in Kansas City, or ship her belongings by stage coach or hired wagon and make the purchases in Independence. Either would work. I think most people bought their wagons at the trail head rather than at home. She could hire transport in Kansas City to get to Independence - either a stage or a private wagon or buggy

About Traveling to Kansas City

Traveling to Kansas City..............?
I'm planning to travel to Kansas City and wanted to know of any cheap motels or hotels over there and how much the rate is per night, also do both the Knights Inn still exist over there? Are the taxis expensive?

Answer 1 :
I don't know what your definition of cheap is, Drury inn is near the stadiums for around $60 a night. There's one called the American Inn, that isn't to expensive. Another option is priceline, I have gotten nice hotels around $40 a night, the only problem is that when you choose your price you don't get to choose the hotel. they find one that will take your price. but it's worked well for us. I don't know much about the taxi's, never used them

Answer 1 :
The first snow of the season is somewhere around November 15th. The airport is out in the middle of nowhere about 20 miles NORTH of town and, if you can get onto an interstate highway, you can make it down to the stadium.
Answer 2 :
Even the weather bureau can't predict a definite snow in Kansas City in November or any other month. I have checked the schedule for the KC Chiefs for November. They will battle Tampa Bay on 11\2, New Orleans on 11\16, and Buffalo on 11\23. Starting time for all three games is 1:00 p.m. You might consider consulting the Farmer's Almanac for weather predictions for the Kansas City area on those dates
