I will be traveling from Kansas City, KS to Denver, CO. Good place to stop overnight about halfway?
Would like nice motels and local/family owned restaurants. Also, interesting places to see that show the local culture. Any thoughts?

Alabama. Maybe Decatur
Answer 2 :
Well, its only like a 9 hour drive, so if you leave in the morning, shouldn't need a motel.
Answer 3 :
If you were going through Nebraska we have Buffalo Bills House and the worlds largest rail yard. If you have a GPS try geocaching your way there.
Answer 4 :
there's not a heck of a lot out that way on 70 closest I can think of is Hays ks, Just about halfway, there are motels there and a state prison. If I were you, I'd cut north from KC on I-29 or US75 to US 36 drive across that way on the smaller road, but better drive and towns about every 40 miles and stop at Belleville or west of there. much nicer drive and the 80 miles or so it cuts off more than makes up for the slower speeds. And driving Kansas across 70 is the most mind numbing experience you'll ever have in your life... until you take 80 across Nebraska
Answer 5 :
Wakeeny, KS. Although I doubt it's very interesting. Really I would get up early and drive in one day.
Answer 6 :
Hays is the halfway point, so it could be good to stop there. I went to college there, and there are a few good restaurants....Whisky Creek is a pretty good bbq place. Not a whole lot to do there though!

Answer 1 :
car 1 70 mph car 2 50 mph
Answer 2 :
X = distance of car 1 Y= distance of car 2 Vx=velocity of car 1 Vy = velocity of car 2 t=time X+Y=330 X=Vx*t Y=Vy*t so Vx*t+Vy*t=330 20 mph slower: Vx=Vy-20 So. (Vy-20)*t+Vy*t=330 Vy-20+Vy=330/3 = 110 mph 2Vy=110 + 20 Vy= 130/2 = 65mph Vx = Vy-20 = 65-20 = 45 mph

About LAX What can visiting college students do for fun in the evening in Kansas City Missouri

What can visiting college students do for fun in the evening in Kansas City Missouri?
Im traveling to Kansas City MO with a group of 8 students for a college newspaper convention at the Marriott Downtown Kansas City from Oct. 29-31. What can we do for fun when we're done with the day's convention stuff. Are all the bars 21-and-up? Only about half of us are 21.

-Well i hear that the Power and Light District is hot. (I hear, I'm not exactly old enough to enjoy most of these attractions) http://www.visitkc.com/member-details/index.aspx?id=37849 -The American Royal Livestock Show is Oct. 28-Nov. 1 (although I do not condone this treatment of animals) -There are a lot of sick Haunted Houses http://www.visitkc.com/things-to-do/suggested-itineraries/haunted-houses/index.aspx -If I'm not mistaken, on Halloween night you can get a free Chipotle Burrito if you dress in aluminum foil, its definitely worth the long lines, I had lots of fun with my friends last year. http://local.yahoo.com/results;_ylt=AmXz_ax2yCbMfbf2okLCYKeHNcIF;_ylv=3?p=Chipotle&csz=Kansas+City%2C+MO+64160 -Check out the city market http://www.visitkc.com/member-details/index.aspx?id=10163 -Walk around the Plaza, there a tons of cool shops, and great restaurants. (some are a little pricey) might I suggest Winsteads, get a sky scrapper soda or shake :)
Answer 2 :
you can go swimming and stuff........... or you could hang with some friends in the Mall or something like that just some fun things like that could help you have a little fun

Answer 1 :
On a highway?
Answer 2 :
WALK
Answer 3 :
It's been a while since I've been to the Amtrak in KC. The last time I heard it was okay.
Answer 4 :
77 to 35, 35 to 470/70. It'll take you about 4 1/2 - 5 hrs
Answer 5 :
By car is the easiest
Answer 6 :
Never took Amtrak and Greyhound is going to be slow. Greyhound will stop in every little town between Norman and Kansas City. Have you checked into renting a car. I took Greyhound from Seagraves Texas to Little Rock Arkansas and it took about twice as long as I could have drove.
Answer 7 :
I've ridden Amtrak. It is great if you are going and don't mind how long it takes. It is the scenic route. They are like greyhound, and make lots of stops. (less frequently than greyhound). They have food service right on the train, unlike greyhound, that you have to wait til you stop. The food on amtrak isn't all that cheap. When I rode it, it was like $5-7 for breakfast, $7-9 for lunch, and $12 and up for dinner. (which was about 14 years ago.) That's in the dining cafe, there was also a "snack bar" where you could purchase smaller amounts of food. (However for the length of trip, you can carry food on either the bus or train.) For the "length" of trip you are talking, you won't need all that many meals. Amtrak when I rode it is slow, but, fun, you can get up and walk around... just have to have your train legs...lol Just depends on your preference. If you have the time, etc... Me personally, if I have the time, and am not driving myself... I'll be the one riding Amtrak
